Maastricht 2010 - The European Fine Art Fair

Exhibition dates: Friday, 12 March 2010  -  Sunday, 21 March 2010

We are very pleased to be returning to TEFAF Maastricht this year, an event which has clearly become the pre-eminent fair in the world today.

We will be showcasing a number of outstanding museum quality sculptures which will be exhibited publicly for the first time together with a beautiful range of works of art for the collector.

One of the highlights will be a recently rediscovered pair of Baroque marble statues by the Florentine sculptor Guiseppe Piamontini (1630 - 1742) of Juno and Jupiter. From Rome comes an exceptional 17th century bronze cast of the famous Marcus Aurelius equestrian statue, signed and dated by Orazio Albrizzi (active 1612 - 1651). We are also particularly thrilled to be exhibiting a set of thirty plaster statuettes of caricatures of well known composers and musicians by Jean-Pierre Dantan (1800 - 1869) from the collection of the House of Wittelsbach. An amusing look at the musical world of the 1830s, some are ‘consumed’ by their instruments while others are shown in dramatic poses.
